Declan O'Flynn all posted victories in both singles and doubles action, as the Holy Cross men's tennis team defeated Merrimack 6-1 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders improve to 5-8 on the season with the win, while the Warriors fall to 5-11 overall.
Holy Cross began the day by taking all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point. O'Flynn and sophomore
Diego Tran Rosado led the way with a 7-6 (7-3) victory over Aryaan Bhatia and Henrik Lindeman at the No. 1 spot. Kelleher and freshman
Alessandro Bizzarri added a 6-4 win over Vanentin Riveros and Charles Robertson at No. 2, while Ling and Nelson downed Daksh Agarwal and Pedro de Godoy Mancini 6-4 at No. 3.
In singles action, freshman
Camilo Illanes picked up a 6-4, 6-0 win over Lindeman at the No. 2 position. Nelson downed Robertson 7-5, 6-4 at No. 3, while O'Flynn beat Andre Singer 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 at No. 4. Other winners for the Crusaders were Kellher at No. 5 (6-4, 6-3 over Agarwal) and Ling at No. 6 (6-3, 3-6, (10-1) over Riveros).
Holy Cross returns to action on Thursday, April 6, when it is scheduled to play host to Fordham at 3 p.m.
