WORCESTER, Mass. — Junior
Connor Nelson won his match at No. 2 singles, but the Holy Cross men's tennis team was defeated by Bucknell 4-1 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders fall to 7-12 on the season, while the Bison improve to 14-7 overall.
Bucknell began the day by claiming the doubles point with victories at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots. In singles play, Nelson defeated Nick Mueller 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2, but the Bison earned wins at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 5 to claim the overall victory.
Holy Cross returns to action on Thursday, April 20, when it plays opens up play in the Patriot League Tournament in Hamilton, N.Y.
