Patrick Ling and junior
Connor Nelson won their doubles match, but the Holy Cross men's tennis team was defeated by Boston University 4-0 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders fall to 6-11 on the season, while the Terriers improve to 12-11 overall.
In doubles play, Ling and Nelson posted a 6-2 victory over Adrian Pawlowski and Johann Sajonz at the No. 3 spot, but Boston University had wins at No. 1 and No. 2 to claim the doubles point. The Terriers then picked up victories at No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 singles to clinch the win, before the rest of the matches were stopped once the final outcome was determined. The closest singles match came at No. 1, where freshman
Alessandro Bizzarri led 0-6, 6-2, 1-0 before play was halted.
The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, April 15, when they play host to Assumption at 3 p.m.
