ANNAPOLIS, Md.— The Holy Cross men's track and field team is halfway through competition at the Patriot League Championship. 
 
Junior Chris Barone set the school record in the 60m dash (6.89), advancing to the finals on Sunday. Barone tied the record earlier this season, but he beat the 6.92 time set by Kalif Raymond in 2016, on Saturday. 

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

• Junior Mike Mazzocca qualified for the 60m hurdles finals with a time of 8.11, an IC4A qualifying time.
• Sophomore Josh Exantus set a personal best in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.51.
• Sophomore Aidan Bergin claimed a personal record in the 60m dash at 7.08. 
• Freshman Nyeoti Punni set a personal best in the 200m with a time of 22.42.
• Senior Kyle VanDermark finished the mile with a personal best time of 4:12.48.
• Senior Jack Welch claimed a personal best in the 800m with a time of 1:54.46.
• The 4x800 relay with VanDermark, freshman Liam Lyons, sophomore Stephen Joseph and Welch finished sixth overall with a time of 7:47.97, an IC4A qualifying mark. 

NEXT UP:

• The Crusaders will return to action on Sunday, Feb. 26 as they continue competing at the Patriot League Championship.
