Annie Lineberger ties pole vault school record at New England Championship

BOSTON, Mass.—The Holy Cross women's track and field team found success after the first day at the New England Indoor Championship on Thursday.

MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
  • Senior Kate Ashley qualified for the finals in the 400m with a time of 57.32, claiming first in the prelims.
  • Sophomore Jane Feeney finished second in the pentathlon with a personal best 3,238 points. Freshman Celia Kulis claimed seventh in the pentathlon with 3,035 points, earning two points towards the team score. 
  • Freshman Fiona Doherty qualified for the 800m finals with a 2:17.48 finish.
  • Freshman Alex Lusby qualified for the 1000m finals with a personal best 2:58.58. 
  • The distance medley relay team with senior Carly Robinson, junior Lindsay Marjanski, freshman Abby Granrath and senior Eve Feuerbach claimed third with a time of 12:08.83. 
  • Senior Obiamaka Igwenagu set a personal best in the long jump with a mark of 5.62m, earning a second-place finish.
  • Senior Annie Lineberger won the pole vault, tying the school record (3.95m). The record was set by Christa Jay Moore '21 in Feb. 2018.
NEXT UP:
  • The Crusaders will return to action on Friday, Feb. 3 as they resume competition at the New England Indoor Championship.
