FLUSHING, N.Y. — The Holy Cross women's tennis team was defeated by Wagner 4-0 at the USTA National Tennis Center. The Crusaders fall to 0-3 on the season, while the Seahawks improve to 1-1 overall.
SINGLES PLAY:
• Wagner posted wins at the No. 1, 2, 3 and 4 singles positions to claim the victory.
• The closest match of the day came at the No. 2 spot, where junior
Ahana Nagarkatti was edged by Tara Dakic 4-6, 6-2, (10-8).
DOUBLES ACTION:
• In the only doubles match to be completed, sophomore
Maddie Hamm and sophomore
Ashley Zilora fell to Gabrielle Perraudin and Dariana Vera 7-6 (7-5) at No. 1.
NEXT UP:
• Holy Cross will resume its season in the spring of 2024.
