BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore
Will Schimitsch finished 18th overall with a time of 16:13 on the five-kilometer course, as the Holy Cross men's cross country team placed fourth out of 15 schools in the Suffolk Short Course Classic at Franklin Park. The Crusaders finished with a total of 117 points as a team, while Northeastern captured the team title with 15 points. Alexander Korczynski of Northeastern won the individual title with a time of 15:08.
Senior
Kyle VanDermark earned a 25th-place finish with a time of 16:35, while freshman
Liam Lyons came in 30th in a time of 16:48. Senior
Jack Welch finished in 34th place (16:51), and sophomore
Henry Oswald was 38th (16:56).
The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Sept. 10, when they take part in the Nassaney Invitational in Smithfield, R.I.
