WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior captain Liam Lyons has been named Patriot League Runner of the Week for competition between Sept. 15 – 21. This marks the second time this season he has earned this honor.
Lyons was Holy Cross's top finisher at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 20. He finished first overall, his second collegiate win, crossing the finish at 24:07.69, a personal best, on the eight-kilometer course. Liam led the Crusaders to a fourth-place finish (out of 32 teams) with a total of 119 points.
The Holy Cross cross country teams will return on Friday, Oct. 3, when they compete at Lehigh's Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa., at Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.
