Holy Cross to face Bucknell on Senior Day

The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team will play its final game of the 2022 season when it faces Bucknell on Friday, April 29, at 4:00 p.m. This will be Senior Day at Kuzniewski Field, with the members of the program's senior class being honored in a special pregame ceremony. The eight Crusader seniors are Jordyn Arakelian, Finley Cassidy, Maggie Cooney, Jolie Creo, Lauren Cunning, Grace Flink, Margaret Mitchell and Haley Tietjen.

Things to Know About the Crusaders (5-10, 2-6 PL):
• Holy Cross stands 5-10 so far this season with a 2-6 mark in Patriot League play. The Crusaders are coming off a 12-4 loss at Lehigh on Saturday.
• In 14 games played this year, Creo has totaled a team-high 75 points on 51 goals and 24 assists. During the Colgate game, she tied the school single-season record with her 75th point of the year, matching the mark of Patricia Sutton (75 points in both 2006 and 2007). Creo currently leads the Patriot League with averages of 3.64 goals and 5.36 points per game, marks which stand 15th and ninth in the nation, respectively. She totaled a season-high 10 points against both Lafayette and Long Island, while scoring a season-best seven goals against Brown. Over the course of her collegiate career, Creo has now recorded 132 goals and 50 assists for 182 points in 44 games played. She currently ranks fourth all-time at Holy Cross in points, and fifth in both goals and assists.
• In the Lafayette game, Flink made a season-high 15 saves while allowing just four goals for a .789 save percentage. She then had 12 saves against No. 24 Navy and 13 saves at Colgate, marking the seventh and eighth times this year she has reached double figures in saves. Overall this season, Flink stands 5-10 with a 13.56 goals against average and 135 saves. In her collegiate career, Flink owns a 12-17 record with a 12.47 goals against average and 281 saves, while her .458 career save percentage is the seventh-best mark in school history.
• Freshman Isabela Miller led the team with five goals and one assist during the victory over Boston University. She previously scored a career-high six goals at Long Island, the most by a Holy Cross freshman in a single game since Laura Ryan had six goals against Bucknell on April 7, 2012. Miller now ranks second on the team in scoring this season with 33 points on 26 goals and seven assists, while recording nine multi-point games. 
• Arakelian, Creo, Cunning, Flink and Mitchell are serving as the Crusaders' captains this season.

Scouting the Bison (6-9, 3-5 PL):
• Bucknell stands 6-9 overall this season with a 3-5 mark in the Patriot League. The Bison have lost their last three games, including an 11-10 overtime setback against Boston University on Saturday.
• Freshman Allie Boyce has led the team in scoring with 40 points on 35 goals and five assists this year. Senior Laurel McHale is also enjoying a strong year with 22 goals and 11 assists for 33 points.
• Senior Caitlin Tucker has started 10 games in goal for the Bison this season, posting a 13.25 goals against average with a .443 save percentage.

Series History:
• This will be the 31st all-time meeting between Holy Cross and Bucknell. The Bison lead the series 16-14, but the Crusaders have won the last two games between the schools.
• Holy Cross and Bucknell last met on April 6, 2019, when the Crusaders posted a 19-13 victory in Worcester. Creo led Holy Cross with five goals and one assist, while Bryn Carroll added three goals and an assist.
