The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team will play its second straight home game when it faces Bryant at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 5.
Things to Know About the Crusaders (1-3):
• Holy Cross stands 1-3 so far this season, after dropping a narrow 14-13 decision to Brown on Tuesday.
• Through four games played this year, senior
Jolie Creo leads the Patriot League in scoring with 19 points on 15 goals and four assists. During the Brown game, she totaled a season-high seven goals and one assist for eight points. Creo previously had four goals and one assist against UMass Lowell, while tallying three goals and an assist at Harvard. Over the course of her collegiate career, she has now recorded 96 goals and 30 assists for 126 points in 34 games played.
• Senior
Jordyn Arakelian currently stands second on the team in scoring with nine points on four goals and five assists. She tallied a goal and two assists against Brown, and has now scored a goal in all four of the Crusaders' games this season. Over the course of her collegiate career, Arakelian has posted 10 goals and 10 assists for 20 points in 18 games played.
• Freshman
Isabela Miller recorded a career-best three points in the Brown game with two goals and one assist. She now ranks third on the team in scoring this season with seven points on four goals and three assists, while recording at least one point in every game.
• Arakelian and Creo are joined by seniors
Lauren Cunning,
Grace Flink and
Margaret Mitchell as the Crusaders' captains this season.
Scouting the Bulldogs (1-1):
• Bryant has a 1-1 record on the year, defeating Columbia (20-6) while falling to Brown (14-11).
• Junior Skylar Simmonds currently leads the team with nine goals scored, including a career-best seven goals against Columbia.
• Sophomore Sam Centofante has started both games in goal for the Bulldogs this year, posting an 8.87 goals against average with 14 saves.
Series History:
• Bryant owns a 4-3 lead in the all-time series between the schools, including four straight victories.
• The Crusaders and the Bulldogs last met on Feb. 25, 2017, when Bryant posted a 14-3 victory in Smithfield.
