KINGSTON, R.I. – The Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team placed third during the final day of the Harold Anderson Invitational.
Holy Cross manufactured 636 points placing third out of seven programs. Vermont (853) and Rhode Island (756) finished ahead of Holy Cross. It was the first time since the 2009-10 season that the Crusaders finished higher than fourth place at the invitational.
Freshman
Ainsley Nalen established the team mark in the 200-yard backstroke (2:02.75) which was good enough for first place.
Senior
Anna Turner came in second during the 1,650-yard freestyle event (17:37.32). Junior
Ayden Chanin hit the wall second in the 100-yard freestyle (51.89).
Junior
Greta Walting finished sixth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:22.87).
The 400-yard medley relay squad of senior
Emily Skilton, Nalen, Walting, and Chanin was second (3:30.55) in their race.
Holy Cross will be back in action on Dec. 3 for a Patriot League contest at Boston University at 1:30 p.m.
