Devin Brindle and sophomore
Brenna Short both won two events, but the Holy Cross women's swimming and diving team was defeated by Bryant 194.5-105.5 at the Hart Center at the Luth Athletic Complex. The Crusaders fall to 1-3 on the season, while the Bulldogs improve to 2-0 overall.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Brindle won both the 50-yard freestyle (24.42) and the 100-yard freestyle (53.16), in addition to coming in second in the 100-yard butterfly (57.19).
• Short claimed first place in both the one-meter (274.88) and three-meter (307.20) diving, with her three-meter scored setting a new Hart Center pool record.
• Other Crusaders to finish in second place included junior
Kat Anticev (200 -yard freestyle / 1:59.22), sophomore
Natalie Neno (100-yard breaststroke / 1:08.70) and sophomore
Ellie Reinhart (200-yard backstroke / 2:08.43).
UP NEXT:
• Holy Cross will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 8, when it takes part in the Worcester City Championship.
