HARTFORD, Conn. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team saw four boats compete at the Head of the Riverfront in Hartford, Conn.
Holy Cross snagged the second place spot in the Women's Open 4+ in a time of 15:20.8, just 10.9 behind first place UMass.
The Crusaders' first eight placed ninth in the Women's Open 8+ (13:48.24), while the second eight took 23rd (14:50.76) out of 31 teams.
Freshman
Teagan Schnorr and senior
Catie Flynn claimed fourth place in the Women's Open 2x in a time of 19:16.76
"I am happy with how we've started the fall racing season," said head coach
Andrea Landry. "The women remained composed in gusty conditions. Weeks of working to move the boat well in and around the front end are starting to pay off and we're excited to get back to the grind on Lake Q this week."
The Crusaders will return to action in two weeks for the Quinsigamond Snake Regatta in Worcester, Mass. on Oct. 15.
