KINGSTON, R.I. – The Holy Cross women's track and field program participated in their first indoor meet of 2022 at the Sorlien Memorial Invitational hosted by Rhode Island on Saturday.
 
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:

• Three Crusaders placed within the top-10 in the 400 meter race. Junior Kate Ashley was the top finisher at 59.36 which was good enough for third place. Sophomore Kiley Ronan took home fifth at 1:01.67 and junior Laura Turner was 10th with a 1:03.29 showing.
• Senior Grace Hoelscher competed in the 800 meter run and came in second place (2:22.26).
• Junior Annie Lineberger took part in the pole vault and marked a 3.65 meter result which was second best out of 17 competitors.
• Senior Kelsey O'Hara ran in the 1000 meter event and crossed the finish line seventh at 2:58.78.
• Junior Obiamaka Igwenagu came in third in the triple jump with an 11.17 meter leap.
• Freshman Allison Schneider deadlocked for 10th in the high jump at 1.55 meters.

• The Crusaders will be back in action next Saturday at New Hampshire for a dual meet at 12:00 p.m.
