Crusaders defeated by Sacred Heart on Senior Day

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross men's tennis team was defeated by Sacred Heart 7-0 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders fall to 0-5 overall this season, while the Pioneers improve to 2-6 overall.

Sacred Heart won the doubles point, but not before Holy Cross came out on top in the No. 1 doubles match. Senior Matthew Slowinski and freshman William Kelleher posted a 6-3 victory over the Pioneers' Cameron Goldstein and William Wibmer. Sacred Heart then went on to win each singles match.

Prior to the match, Slowinski and senior Matt Fagan, who will be graduating in May, were honored in a special ceremony for their contributions over the last four years.

Holy Cross returns to action on Saturday, April 17, when it plays host to Boston University at 3:00 p.m.
