Men’s tennis shuts out Western New England on Monday

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross men's tennis program picked up a 7-0 shutout of non-conference opponent Western New England Monday afternoon at the Sinnott Family Tennis Center.

The win was the first of the campaign for the Crusaders as they moved to 1-1 while the Golden Bears fall to 1-1.

DOUBLES PLAY:
  • Holy Cross swept through all doubles matches to earn the doubles point.
  • Freshman Jack Prokopis and sophomore Will Donnelly shutout their opponents 6-0.
SINGLES ACTION:
  • Holy Cross took all six singles matches to complete the shutout.
  • Junior Teddy Callery at no. 3 singles took every point winning 6-0, 6-0 over Michel Abizaid Nunez.
NEXT UP:
  • The Crusaders will compete at the ITA New England Regionals hosted by Yale beginning on Thursday, Oct. 9 at 10:30 a.m.
