BETHLEHEM, Pa. — The Holy Cross men's tennis team was defeated by Lafayette 4-0 at the Ulrich Varsity Tennis Courts in the first round of the Patriot League Tournament. The Leopards improve to 2-7 overall and move on to face Navy in the quarterfinals on Friday, while the Crusaders finish the season at 0-7.

William Kelleher held a 4-3 lead at No. 1 doubles, but the match was stopped after Lafayette clinched the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
Kelleher was then locked in a tough battle with John Yurconic at No. 2 singles, and led 5-7, 7-5, 1-0 when that match was also stopped once the Leopards had posted victories at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 singles.
