WORCESTER, Mass. — The Holy Cross men's tennis team was defeated by Boston University 4-0 at the Sinnott Family Tennis Facility. The Crusaders fall to 0-6 overall this season, while the Terriers improve to 3-5 overall.
Boston University swept all three doubles matches to take the doubles point, then picked up wins at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 singles to claim the victory. The best match of the day came at No. 2 singles, in a match-up between freshman
William Kelleher and the Terriers' Owen Lu. After the first set went to Lu 7-5, Kelleher went up a break at 3-1 in the second set, before the match was stopped as the overall outcome had been determined.
Holy Cross returns to action on Thursday, April 22, when it opens play in the Patriot League Tournament in Bethlehem, Pa.
