The fourth-seeded Holy Cross women's basketball team will host its first Patriot League Tournament quarterfinal game since 2015 when the Crusaders welcome No. 5 Lafayette to the Hart Center on Monday, March 9. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
All Holy Cross students will receive free admission to the game with a student ID. For all other fans, tickets start as low as $5 and can be purchased by visiting

The game will be broadcasted through the
Patriot League Network with Kevin Gehl on play-by-play and Kevin Wells on color commentary. Fans can also listen to the game on Unity Radio 97.9FM, with Alex Vispoli on play-by-play.Â
With an 11-7 record in league play, the Crusaders finished in a three-way tie for third place in the Patriot League with Lafayette and Colgate; by way of the head-to-head tiebreaker, Colgate took the third seed, while Holy Cross earned the fourth and Lafayette earned the fifth.
Things to Know About the Crusaders (18-11, 11-7 Patriot League):
- Holy Cross comes off a 66-48 victory over Loyola (Md.) on Wednesday, March 4.
- With a 25-point, 15-rebound showing, senior Lauren Manis surpassed the 2,000-point mark in her career. Sophomore Avery LaBarbera added in 14 points for the Crusaders and sophomore Oluchi Ezemma neared a double-double with 10 points and nine boards.
- Manis became the third player in Holy Cross women's basketball history to record 2,000 career points and is the first player in Holy Cross basketball history – men's or women's – to tally more than 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds. Manis is the first women's basketball player in Patriot League history to achieve the milestone and is one of three active Division I women's basketball players with 2,000 career points and 1,000 career rebounds, joining Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard.
- On Friday, March 6, Manis earned her third All-Patriot League first team selection and fourth overall all-league selection, and was additionally an All-Defensive Team selection.
- LaBarbera earned second team honors from the Patriot League, her second straight all-league selection after receiving third team and Rookie of the Year honors in 2018-19.
- During the regular season, Holy Cross had players lead the Patriot League in points per game (Manis, 18.6), field-goal percentage (senior Megan Swords, .545), assists (senior Madalyn Smith, 138), free throw percentage (LaBarbera, .827) and 3-point percentage (Manis, .446).
Things to Know About the Leopards (15-13, 11-7 Patriot League):
- Lafayette fell to Bucknell in its season finale by a score of 57-47. Natalie Kucowski led the Leopards with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds.
- Kucowski, who joined Manis as an All-Patriot League first team and All-Defensive selection, ranks second in Division I with an average of 12.9 rebounds per game. She additionally leads the Patriot League in blocks (77) and ranks fifth in the conference in scoring with an average of 13.9 points per game.
- The Leopards held their opponents to a .356 field goal percentage during the regular season, the lowest mark in the league. Lafayette additionally ranked third in the league in rebounding with an average of 38.1 boards per game, trailing the Crusaders (40.1) and Lehigh (38.7).
- Led by Kucowski, Lafayette averaged a league-best 4.5 blocks per game during the regular season.
Season Series:
- Holy Cross earned a dramatic 57-56 victory over Lafayette at home on Jan. 8. Manis finished with 25 points, 12 rebounds and two steals to lead the Crusaders. LaBarbera was also in double figures with 11 points, while Swords recorded nine points and seven rebounds. Manis converted on an and-one with 8.6 seconds remaining, and with just a few seconds left, Drew Freeland attempted the game-winning shot for Lafayette, but the shot was blocked by Swords to seal the victory.
- Manis posted a career-high 32 points to go with 16 rebounds as Holy Cross held off Lafayette in a road contest on Feb. 15. The Crusaders led by as much as 12 early in the third quarter before the Leopards cut within one with 8:17 to go in the fourth; Holy Cross was able to hold on for the 57-49 win.
- In two matchups against Lafayette this season, Manis is averaging 28.5 points and 14 rebounds per game.
