WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's basketball team will play its second straight road game this week, heading to Lehigh for a 7:00 p.m. contest on Wednesday, Feb. 12. The game between the Crusaders and the Mountain Hawks will be televised live by Service Electric 2 Sports and the Patriot League Network, and can be heard on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.
Holy Cross stands 3-22 overall this season with a 2-10 mark against Patriot League opponents. The Crusaders have lost their last five games since posting a 96-95 overtime victory over Lehigh on Jan. 22.
Freshman forward
Joe Pridgen has led the team by averaging 16.4 points and 6.9 rebounds per game, while hitting 55.4 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior guard
Austin Butler has added 11.8 points, 6.4 boards and 2.4 assists per contest, while junior forward
Connor Niego is chipping in with 9.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.
Lehigh stands 6-18 overall this year with a 3-9 mark in Patriot League play. The Mountain Hawks are coming off a 62-59 victory at Lafayette on Saturday, which snapped a seven-game losing streak.
Senior guard Jordan Cohen has led the team by averaging 14.7 points, 4.3 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game, while making 85.4 percent of his free throws. Sophomore center Nic Lynch has added 10.0 points and 5.3 boards per contest, while sophomore forward Jeameril Wilson has put up 9.1 points and 4.9 rebounds per game.
Following the contest with Lehigh, Holy Cross will return home to face Lafayette on Saturday, Feb. 15, at 2:00 p.m.
