Holy Cross comes home to face Lehigh

WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross men's basketball team will be back at home this week, facing Lehigh in a 7:00 p.m. game on Wednesday, Jan. 22. The contest between the Crusaders and the Mountain Hawks will be shown live on the Patriot League Network, and can be heard on WEEI 1440 AM in Worcester.

During the game, the Holy Cross coaching staff will take part in Coaches vs. Cancer Suits & Sneakers Week, a collaborative initiative of the National Association of Basketball Coaches and the American Cancer Society.

Holy Cross stands 2-17 overall this season with a 1-5 mark against Patriot League opponents. The Crusaders have dropped their last four games since defeating Navy 63-61 on Jan. 5.

Freshman forward Joe Pridgen has led the team by averaging 16.2 points and 6.8 rebounds per game, while hitting 56.3 percent of his field goal attempts. Junior guard Austin Butler has added 11.3 points, 6.6 boards and 2.4 assists per contest, while junior forward Connor Niego is chipping in with 8.2 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Lehigh stands 5-13 overall this year with a 2-4 mark in Patriot League play. The Mountain Hawks have lost three of their last four games, and are coming off a 72-56 setback at Bucknell on Monday.

Senior guard Jordan Cohen has led the team by averaging 15.1 points, 4.4 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game, while making 84.5 percent of his free throws. Junior center James Karnik has added 12.4 points and 7.8 boards per contest, while sophomore forward Jeameril Wilson has put up 9.0 points and 4.6 rebounds per game.

Following the contest with Lehigh, Holy Cross will remain at home to face Boston University on Saturday, Jan. 25.
