WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's tennis team lost to Connecticut College, 6-1, Wednesday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Maddie DeNucci claimed the Crusaders only point with a 7-6, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles.
• Sophia Papa came close at No. 2 singles, but ultimately fell, 6-2, 2-6, 6-10.
• DeNucci and Papa teamed up at No. 1 doubles and put up a good fight, but lost 5-7.
• Connecticut College claimed all three doubles matches as well as second through sixth singles to take the team win.
