WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team was defeated by No. 9 Loyola, 18-3, in the Crusaders season finale. The Crusaders saw three different goal scorers and tallied two assists in the game.
Loyola took the lead early in the game, scoring nine goals in the opening 15 minutes. Molly Pfaff scored her fourth goal of the season as Jolie Creo assisted her instead of attacking on a free position opportunity.
In the second half, the Crusaders held the scoring to 5-2. Loyola tallied three to open the half and lead 16-1. Bryn Carroll scored her 26th goal of the season at 17:38 with an assist from Baker Earl.
Earl tallied a goal of her own to close the game at 2:49, to cap off the game 18-3.
Keely Connors tallied five draw controls in the game to tie her own single-season record of 93. Connors owns the all-time career draw controls record as well, standing at 236.
Jessi Button recorded two caused turnovers in her final game as a Crusader.
Juliana Kubler played the first half and recorded six saves. Sophie Ochs played the second half and added five saves.
