Sophomore guard
Avery LaBarbera of the Holy Cross women's basketball team has been named the Patriot League Player of the Week,
the conference announced on Monday, Nov. 25.
In a pair of Holy Cross victories, LaBarbera averaged 22 points and eight rebounds per game while also totaling 11 assists and seven steals with just one turnover. She went 7-for-12 (.583) from 3-point range and shot .552 from the field.

87-75 win vs. Bryant, she had 25 points -- the second-highest total of her career -- on 9-for-12 shooting with five assists, no turnovers and three steals. In a
68-42 victory over Merrimack on Saturday, LaBarbera had the second double-double of her career with a 19-point, 10-rebound showing, along with six assists and four steals.
LaBarbera currently ranks sixth in the nation with a 6.0 assist-to-turnover ratio and also leads Holy Cross with 18.3 points per game, 18 assists and eight steals through four contests.
This is LaBarbera's first Player of the Week honor from the Patriot League. A season ago, she was a four-time Rookie of the Week selection en route to earning Rookie of the Year honors from the conference.
The women's basketball team (3-1) has won three straight contests and will next be in action on Sunday, Dec. 1 at Brown.
