WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's rowing team raced to a strong showing at the Wormtown Chase on Lake Quinsigamond. The novice four A led the Crusaders with a second place finish.
"We had a great day of racing and welcomed so many family members to the lake on Family Weekend," said head coach Patrick Diggins. "Our fours raced hard in the morning earning medals or top places in their division then the varsity athletes raced again in the eights. We were grateful for another race experience but the hard racing in the fours into a stiff headwind slowed us down in the eights as expected. However, the novice eight brought home some hardware!  It was a great way to wrap up our fall racing season and start getting stronger and faster for the spring." 

• The Crusaders varsity four A boat raced to a third place finish in the collegiate four with a time of 24:31.9. The Crusaders' B and C four boats placed fifth and sixth with times of 24:46.5 and 25:03.9, respectively.
• In the novice four, the Crusaders' A boat placed second with a time of 26:02.7. The Crusaders' B boat finished fifth in that same race at 27:52.1.
• In the collegiate eight, Holy Cross' A boat placed ninth at 20:49.2 and the B boat placed 12^th at 21:38.0.
• The novice eight placed third with a time of 23:27.3.
