WORCESTER, Mass. – The Holy Cross women's lacrosse team was defeated at No. 9 Loyola Maryland, 23-3 on April 28.
With Loyola (14-3, 9-0 PL) scoring the first two goals, Holy Cross (6-11, 4-5 PL) narrowed the lead with a goal of their own before the Greyhounds took off. Loyola scored 11 goals to close the half with a 13-2 lead. In the second Half, Loyola started with nine goal run before the Crusaders scored their third of the game and ultimately fell, 23-3.
TALKING POINTS
Izzy Grant, Kerianne Moran, and Anna Pusey each scored one goal in the game.
Bryn Carroll tallied two assists on the game.
Keely Connors posted eight draw controls to push her season total to 79. Connors is now the all-time single season draw control leader at Holy Cross.
Julia Maloney made 11 saves in 36 minutes of play.
