The Lead: Lehigh shut out the Crusaders in the first game of the doubleheader on Saturday afternoon.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lehigh was the first on the board, scoring one run off of a long sacrifice fly to left field in the top of the third.
- In the top of the sixth, Lehigh added to their score off of an error, making it 2-0.
- Lehigh held the Crusaders to just four hits and no runs, capturing the low scoring win.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Both teams registered four hits in game one.
- Both teams left five runners on base.
- Connor Donovan earned the win for Lehigh, allowing four hits and zero runs in seven innings pitched.
- Senior Brendan King took the loss for the Crusaders, allowing one earned run and one unearned run on four hits in seven innings pitched.
- Freshman Chris Rinaldi led the Crusaders' offense, hitting 2-for-2 on the game.

The Lead: Freshman Austin Masel drove in the winning run in the fifth inning to help the Crusaders defeat Lehigh in the second game of the afternoon doubleheader.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lehigh jumped out to an early 1-0 lead at the top of the first inning after an RBI ground out.
- The Crusaders took the lead for the first time off of a two-RBI single by Masel, driving in seniors Bill Schlich and Josh Hassell for the 2-1 lead in the fifth.
- The Crusaders added to their lead when sophomore Kellen McCormick ripped a single between the shortstop and third baseman to drive in Masel, making it 3-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning.
- The Crusaders added four more runs to their total in the eighth inning off the bats of senior Alex Voitik, Rinaldi and Schlich to make it 8-1 in their favor.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Crusaders outhit Lehigh 8-4.
- The Crusaders left seven runners on base. while Lehigh left five.
- Senior Phil Reese earned the win, allowing one run on three hits in 6.2 innings pitched.
- Jason Reynolds took the loss for Lehigh, allowing two runs on three hits.
- Masel went 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Reese earned his first win of the season, and the ninth of his career.
- Masel now has 12 multiple hit games on the year, leading the team.
