WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross head men's basketball coach Bill Carmody announced today that Jacob Grandison (Oakland, Calif.) has signed a national letter of intent to attend Holy Cross and play for the Crusaders. Grandison will be one of six players joining the Holy Cross program in the fall of 2017.
A 6-foot-6, 195-pound small forward, Grandison is currently completing a post-graduate year at Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, N.H., playing for head coach Jay Tilton. During the 2016-2017 season, he helped Phillips Exeter to the NEPSAC Class A championship and earned Most Valuable Player honors after scoring 20 points against Suffield in the championship game. Grandison also took home third team Class A All-New England honors, while hitting 49 percent of his three-point field goal attempts. He previously attended Berekely (Calif.) High School, and played AAU ball for Team Lillard.

“We are excited to have Jacob join us in the fall from Philip Exeter,” said Carmody. “His versatility will add another exciting element to our recruiting class. With his addition, we have six outstanding young men in the Class of 2021 who we expect to make an immediate impact on our program in the coming season.”
Holy Cross finished the 2016-2017 campaign with an overall record of 15-17 and placed fifth in the Patriot League with a 9-9 mark in conference play.
