HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Holy Cross took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning, as Senior Josh Hassell scored on a wild pitch after leading off the inning with a single.
- Yale tied the game up in the fifth, adding a run off an RBI single.
- The Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning, as they scored the go-ahead run on a sacrifice fly.
- Yale made it a 7-1 game with five runs scored on five hits in the top of the seventh.
- Holy Cross put two runners on base in the bottom of the seventh, but were unable to cut the deficit.

The Lead: Holy Cross notched three runs in the eighth inning as the Crusaders earned an 8-7 win over Yale in their final game against Yale Sunday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After Yale took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, Holy Cross responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning as senior Anthony Critelli and freshman Austin Masel scored off an error.
- The Bulldogs regained control in the third inning, adding four runs on four hits to make it 5-2 in their favor.
- After Masel hit an RBI double in the fourth, Yale added two more runs to make it 7-3.
- The Crusaders cut the deficit set by the Bulldogs with a run from junior Cam O'Neill off a wild pitch in the fifth and an RBI ground out from Critelli in the sixth.
- The Crusaders took the 8-7 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, as O'Neill hit a three-run homer over the left field fence.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Yale outhit the Crusaders 13-8.
- Holy Cross left nine runners on base, while the Bulldogs left seven.
- Senior Ben White earned the win for Holy Cross, allowing no runs in two innings of relief.
- Kumar Nambiar took the loss, allowing three runs on two hits.
- O'Neill went 1-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- White's win was his first of the season, and the fifth of his career.
- O'Neill's home run was his fourth this season, and the sixth of his career.
