The Lead: Senior Anthony Critelli hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth as the Crusaders defeated Wagner in game one of their doubleheader on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After senior Brendan King pitched six scoreless innings, The Seahawks were the first team on the board in the top of the seventh inning as Wagner scored a pair of runs on two hits.
- The Crusaders threatened to score in the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded, but the Seahawks ended the inning with a double play.
- Holy Cross added a run in the bottom of the eighth, as junior Cam O'Neill led off with a solo shot home run to cut Wagner's lead to one.
- After freshman Austin Masel led off the bottom of the ninth inning with a single to left field, Critelli ended the game with a two-run homer over the left field fence.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Crusaders outhit Wagner, 9-5.
- Holy Cross left 12 runners on base, while Wagner left nine.
- Senior George Capen earned the win for Holy Cross, pitching three scoreless innings in relief while tossing five strikeouts.
- Ryan Lauck took the loss for Wagner, allowing two runs with 0.2 innings pitched.

The Lead: The Crusaders fell to Wagner by a score of 6-2 in the second game of their doubleheader against the Seahawks on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Crusaders jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Critelli brought home Masel from second base with an RBI single to right center.
- Holy Cross extended its lead to 2-0 in the third inning, as Masel hit a sacrifice fly to right field to bring home senior Alex Voitik from third.
- Wagner responded with a run in the bottom of the third, and gained the lead in the fourth with a pair of runs on two hits.
- The Seahawks extended their lead in the seventh inning with three runs on four hits.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Seahawks outhit Holy Cross, 7-4.
- The Crusaders left 10 runners on base, while Wagner left two.
- Senior Joe Cravero took the loss for the Crusaders, allowing three runs (two earned) in six innings.
- Danny Marsh earned the win for Wagner, allowing two runs in six innings.
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:
- Masel now has 20 hits on the season.
- Critelli's home run was his first of the season, and the 17th of his career.
- O'Neill now leads the Crusaders with 10 RBIs on the season.
