The Lead: Despite registering six hits, the Crusaders fell to Auburn by a score of 4-0 in their second game against the Tigers on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• After the Tigers took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning, the Crusaders turned a double play to end the inning and leave two runners on base.
• The Tigers added two more runs in the bottom of the fourth, but senior Brendan King ended the inning with a strike out with the bases loaded.
• Auburn added one more run in the sixth inning with an RBI single to make it a 4-0 game.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS:

• Holy Cross outhit the Tigers 6-5.
• Auburn left nine runners on base, while the Crusaders left eight.
• King took the loss after allowing three runs on three hits through 3.2 innings pitched.
• Casey Mize earned the win for the Tigers, pitching five scoreless innings while allowing four hits.
• Freshman Austin Masel led the Crusaders on offense, batting 2-for-4 on the day.
