• The Lead: The Crusaders returned to action on Friday afternoon at the BU Track and Tennis Center, turning in a number of strong performances at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Senior Kalif Raymond (Lawrenceville, Ga.) registered a time of 7.03 in the 60 m dash to earn the 15th overall finish, while junior Darrius Lacy (St. Petersburg, Fla.) placed 55th overall at 7.32.
• Senior Lucas Keefer (Yonkers, N.Y.) finished ninth in the 800 m run, earning a time of 1:50.92 in the race.
• In the 400 m dash, sophomore Nicholas Boire (Macnhester, N.H.) placed 70th overall with a time of 50.03.
• In the one mile run, senior Chris Conley (Walpole, Mass.) placed 173rd, setting a time of 4:25.55.
• Senior Francisco Tejidor (Coral Gables, Fla.) earned an 11th place finish in the 1000 m run, setting a time of 2:26.94.
• In the 500 m dash, junior Benjamin Ghiano (Iselin, N.J.) registered a time of 1:07.95 to finish 40th overall.
• Freshman Tom Chiappini (Reading, Mass.) was the top performer for the Crusaders in the weight throw, earning a mark of 13.33 m to place 29th overall. Junior Kyle Cunningham (Wilmington, Mass.) notched a distance of 12.07 m to finish 37th in the event.

• The Crusaders will be back in action next Friday, February 19, 2016 as they begin competition at the Patriot League Championship in Boston.
