• The Lead: Holy Cross sophomore women's golfer Maxine Harney (Medford, Mass.) finished in 20th place individually to help lead the Crusaders to an eighth place finish at the Mount Holyoke Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26-27 at The Orchards Golf Club in South Hadley, Mass. The Crusaders shot a two-day combined score of 691 strokes (+115), as Williams won the event with a two-round sum of 605 strokes (+29).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Harney carded a total score of 164 (+20) and fired a career-low round of 76 (+4) in the second round of the tournament. Senior Marisa Cameron (Garden City, N.Y.) shot a total score of 172 (+28), which tied for 29th place.
• Holy Cross freshman Lexi Hummel-Paez (Albuquerque, N.M.) registered a 177 (+33), which tied her for 37th place. Crusader senior Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) and sophomore Maddy Glynn (Pittsford, N.Y.) shot a 178 (+34) and a 203 (+59), respectively, for a 40th and 66th place finish.
