WORCESTER, Mass. - Junior Catherine Gildea (Milford, Conn.) has been named the GoHolyCross.com Crusader of the Week, for competition from April 27-May 3. Gildea helped lead the Holy Cross women's outdoor track and field team to a fifth place finish at last week's Patriot League Championship.

At the Patriot League Championship, Gildea finished in first place in the 800-meter run with a career-best time of 2:12.29. She also ran the anchor leg on Holy Cross' 4x800-meter relay team, which recorded a first place finish in a time of 8:52.33. In addition, Gildea anchored the Crusaders' 4x400-meter relay team which finished sixth in a time of 3:55.66.

The Crusaders return to action this Friday and Saturday, May 8 and 9, when they take part in the New England Championship, which will be held at MIT in Cambridge, Mass.
