• The Lead: The Holy Cross women's golf team finished in ninth place out of 15 teams with a combined team score of 708 (+132) at the Mt. Holyoke Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 20-21. Williams won the event with a two-round total of 623 (+47).

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Holy Cross was led by junior Marisa Cameron (Garden City, N.Y.) who finished in a tie for 16th place with a two-round total score of 162 (+18). Crusader freshman Maxine Harney (Medford, Mass.) finished in a tie for 34th place with a total score of 177 (+33).
• Junior Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) tied for 44th place with a total score of 180 (+36), while senior Meaghan Sullivan (Brockton, Mass.) and freshman Maddy Glynn (Pittsford, N.Y.) tied for 57th and 61st place, respectively, with scores of 190 (+46) and 192 (+48).

UP NEXT:

• Holy Cross returns to action on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 29-30, when it will compete in the ECAC Championship at the Lyman Orchards Country Club in Kingston, Mass.
