• The Lead: The Holy Cross women's golf team finished in sixth place of nine teams with a two-day combined score of 700 (+124) at the Merrimack Invitational on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 5-6 at the Indian Pond Country Club.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Holy Cross was led by junior captain Marisa Cameron (Garden City, N.Y.) who finished in eighth place with a two-day total score of 160 (+16). She tied her season-low 18-hole score with a plus-seven 79 in the second round.
• Crusader freshman Maxine Harney (Medford, Mass.) carded a two-round score of 169 (+25), good for 20th place, while junior Lydia Deneen (Hubbardston, Mass.) recorded a total score of 180 (+36), which tied her for 28th place.
• Holy Cross senior captain Meaghan Sullivan (Brockton, Mass.) and freshman Lindsay Sullivan (Worcester, Mass.) registered respective scores of 191 (+46) and 203 (+53), good for 39th and 43rd place.

UP NEXT:

• Holy Cross will conclude its 2014 fall season with the Lehigh Invitational on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 26-27 at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Upper Saucon, Pa.
