The Lead:  Junior captain Dennis Muldoon (Weymouth, Mass.) was the top finisher for the Holy Cross men's cross country team, crossing the finish line 25th of 108 runners with a time of 24:55.40 in the 8K race. Holy Cross finished seventh of 10 teams at the Patriot League Championship on Saturday morning. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Sophomore John Bentivegna (Staten Island, N.Y.) and junior Francisco Tejidor (Coral Gables, Fla.) followed Muldoon, taking 51st (25:45.20) and 57th (25:52.40). 
• Senior captain John Cicchitti (Warminster, Pa.) followed in 60th place with a time of 25:59.00. 
• Sophomore Matt Greco (Eagleville, Pa.) and sophomore Michael Andre (Feeding Hills, Mass.) rounded out the top Crusader finishes, crossing the finish line in 66th (26:07.40) and 69th (26:14.20), respectively. 

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE

• Holy Cross finished seventh of 10 teams with a team score of 210. Navy repeated as the men's champion with a team score of 30 points. 
• Navy's Steven Schroeder won the men's individual race with a time of 23:57.00. 

UP NEXT

• The Crusaders return to action as it gets set to travel to Bronx, N.Y. to compete in the NCAA Northeast Regional, hosted by Manhattan and Iona at 10:00 a.m.
