Women's Rowing Ready For Head Of The Charles Regatta On Oct. 18

WORCESTER, Mass. - On Saturday, Oct. 18, the Holy Cross women's rowing team will compete at the 50th Head of the Charles Regatta on the Charles River in Boston. The Head of the Charles is the world's largest two-day rowing event. This event started on Oct. 16, 1965.

HC WILL RACE IN TWO EVENTS:

  • On Saturday, the Crusaders will compete in the club four race at 1:38 p.m. (Bow 26) and the club eight race at 2:23 p.m. (Bow 12 & 31). Go here for this year's schedule and here for video of the regatta.

OUTLOOK FOR THE HEAD OF THE CHARLES:

  • Head coach Patrick Diggins discusses the Head of the Charles. "We're excited to race at the Head of the Charles. We've had strong performances there for the last few years and want that to continue. All the athletes love the opportunity to race teams from all over the world. The festival atmosphere in Boston makes it even more special."
