WORCESTER, Mass. – Junior Harrison Thayer has been named the ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week, for competition from October 14-20. Thayer helped lead the Holy Cross men's golf team to a first place finish at the Lehigh Invitational last week.

During the Lehigh Invitational, Thayer had a team-best fourth-place finish as an individual with a 146 over two rounds. On Friday, he shot a career-low 69 to tie for the ninth-lowest round in school history. Thayer helped the Crusaders finish in first place in a tournament against Division I competition for the first time since 1998.
 
Overall this season, Thayer is averaging 75.0 strokes per round.  Over the course of his Holy Cross career, he has an average of 77.6 strokes per 18 holes.
 
The Crusaders have now completed the fall portion of their 2019-20 schedule.
