AS A JUNIOR IN 2019-2020:
• Played 12 rounds on the season
• Averaged 74.7 strokes per 18 holes, the seventh-lowest single-season mark in program history
• Named a Srixon / Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar
• Led Holy Cross to the team title at the Lehigh Invitational, placing fourth as an individual with 146 strokes over two rounds
• Shot a season-low round of 69 on day one of the Lehigh Invitational, tying for the ninth-lowest round in school history
• Named the ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week following the Lehigh Invitational
• Had a team-best ninth place-finish at the Pinehurst Intercollegiate, totaling 223 strokes over three rounds 
• Came in 12th at the Bucknell Invitational with a two-round total of 144
• Finished 53rd at the Martin Downs Collegiate, shooting a 223 over three rounds
• Earned a spot on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll
• A member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee
• Season concluded on March 12 due to COVID-19

AS A SOPHOMORE IN 2018-2019:
• Played 15 rounds on the year
• Average 76.8 strokes per 18 holes
• Placed 22nd at the Patriot League Championship with a three-round total of 224 strokes
• Shot a season-low round of 71 on the final day of the Patriot League Championship
• Came in 41st at the Bucknell Invitational, totaling 147 strokes over two rounds
• Finished 20th at the RTJ Individual Shootout with a two-round total of 150 strokes
• Had a 64th place finish at the Abarta Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational, totaling 156 strokes over two rounds
• Selected to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

AS A FRESHMAN IN 2017-2018:
• Played 13 rounds on the season, averaging 79.6 strokes per 18 holes
• Placed 41st at the Patriot League Championship with a three-round total of 244 strokes
• Came in 23rd at the Rhode Island Invitational, finishing with 151 strokes over two rounds
• Had a 31st-place finish at the Lehigh Valley Invitational, with a two-round score of 152 strokes
• Shot season low rounds of 75 at both the Lehigh Valley Invitational and the Rhode Island Invitational
• Named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll

HIGH SCHOOL:
• Competed at Rice Memorial High School under head coach Fr. Dallas St. Peter
• Served as team captain during his junior and senior seasons
• Won the individual Vermont State Championship in 2016
• Led team to Division II state championships in 2014, 2016 and 2017
• Shot a career-low 72 on three occasions
• Also played ice hockey, leading the team in goals and points as a senior while being selected to play in the Senior Rotary All-Star Classic
• A member of National Honor Society

PERSONAL:
• Son of Rick Thayer (deceased), Marie Thayer and Fred Ziegler (step father)
• Father, Rick, earned All-America honors in golf at Lynchburg College
• Mother, Marie, played tennis at the University of Richmond.
• Has two brothers (Hunter and Sam) and two sisters (Holly and Molly)
• Brother, Hunter, played ice hockey and golf at Skidmore College
• Majoring in Mathematics
