Sophomore Sophia Roncone of the Holy Cross softball team has been selected as the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for April 29-May 5.

Roncone made two starts in the circle for the Crusaders this past week. She went 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA across 14.0 innings with eight strikeouts, two complete games and two shutouts holding opponents to a .111 average. 

Against Lafayette on Saturday, she hurled a one hitter striking out five in a complete game 1-0 shutout. Roncone followed that up with her 15th complete game and fourth shutout of the season punching out three batters in a 5-0 win against Lafayette Sunday.

Roncone finished the year tied for first in the Patriot League in saves (3), ranks fourth innings pitched (160.1), fourth in strikeouts (120), seventh in opposing batting average (.268), tied for eighth in wins (7) and ninth in earned run average (3.62).
