Fifth year midfielder Sam Halligan has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week, for competition from August 10-17. Halligan tallied two goals and an assist through the first two games of the 2026 season.

In the team’s season opener on Wednesday Aug. 12 against Quinnipiac, Halligan broke a 2-0 shutout with a goal in the 56th minute. Four minutes later, she assisted junior defender Caroline Bierfeldt on a corner kick.

On Sunday, Aug. 17 at Syracuse, Halligan buried a shot in the 66th minute for her second goal of the season, fifth as a Crusader and the 17th of her collegiate career. 

The Crusaders return home to face Stonehill on Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 7:00 p.m.
