Senior Peter Oliver of the Holy Cross football team has been chosen as the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for November 28-December 4.

Oliver was the key cog in the Holy Cross offense on Saturday in the 35-19 NCAA FCS second round victory over New Hampshire. The running back totaled a career-high 175 yards off 30 carries (5.8 avg.) with two touchdowns including a 39-yard scamper through the rain and wind.

The upperclassman has 2,662 career rushing yards; Saturday's performance versus UNH helped him surpass Jerome Fuller (2,447 yards, 1988-1991) and Steve Silva (2,646 yards, 2001-2005) for the third-most career rushing yards in Holy Cross history. 

The eighth-seeded Crusaders set a program record with their 12th win, improving to an unblemished 12-0 record on the year. Holy Cross advances to the NCAA quarterfinals for the first time since 1983 and will take on top-seeded South Dakota State on Saturday, December 10 at 12 p.m. The contest will be broadcasted nationally on ESPN.
