WORCESTER, Mass. – Sophomore forward Meggan Fourie has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for competition from Sept. 19-25. Fourie helped lead the Holy Cross field hockey team to a 7-3 victory over Merrimack and a 4-1 victory over Davidson.

During the match against Merrimack, Fourie scored the first two goals of the night for the Crusaders with the first coming just 0:14 into the first quarter. In the game against Davidson, she earned an assist on junior forward Allie McDonough’s second goal of the game and then went on to score two of her own in the match. By the end of the week, she totaled four goals and one assist.

Fourie was also named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Sept. 26 for her performances against Merrimack and Davidson.

Holy Cross field hockey (3-7 overall, 0-2 Patriot League) returns to action on Sunday, Oct. 2, when they travel to face Providence College at 1 p.m.
