WORCESTER, Mass. – Senior Caroline Frey has been named the ckSmithSuperior Crusader of the Week, for competition from December 2-8. Frey led the Holy Cross women's indoor track and field team in competition at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener last week.

During Saturday's meet in Boston, Frey broke the school record in the 300-meter dash while placing fourth with a time of 39.66 seconds. She bettered the old mark of 40.52 seconds, which was set by Stephanie Okpoebo in 2014. Frey also ran a 57.282-second split as the anchor leg of the Crusaders' 4x400-meter relay team which finished in sixth place. 

Frey now owns two school records, in the indoor 300-meter dash and the outdoor 400-meter dash (56.63 seconds).

The Crusaders return to action on Saturday, Jan. 11, when they take part in the Beantown Challenge in Cambridge, Mass.
