WORCESTER, Mass. — Senior linebacker Liam Anderson of the Holy Cross football team has been named the Hilton Garden Inn Crusader of the Week for the week of August 30 to September 5.

Anderson helped lead the Crusaders to a 38-28 victory over an FBS opponent in the University of Connecticut on Saturday, Sept. 4. The victory marked Holy Cross' first win against an FBS opponent in 19 years.

During the game, Anderson recorded eight tackles, including two sacks for a loss of 11 yards. He additionally forced a fumble that eventually led to a UConn turnover and a key Holy Cross touchdown, and added in a pass breakup and two quarterback hurries.

Throughout his career, Anderson has recorded 73 tackles and six sacks.
