WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross senior women's rowing captains Adrienne Randall (Leominster, Mass.) and Kate Diggins (Holden, Mass.) have earned 2015 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) All-Region honors. Randall was named to the first team, while Diggins was selected to the second team.
Randall was a member of the varsity eight for all six spring regattas this season which included placing third at the Patriot League Championship. Randall won a gold medal in the 42nd Head of the Schuylkill Regatta championship pair race in the fall of 2014. Randall was a member of the Holy Cross Leadership Academy and was named to the 2014 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
Diggins was also member of the varsity eight for all six spring regattas this season. She was a member of the varsity eight that placed third at the Patriot League Championship which was their best finish in six years. Diggins was a member of the Holy Cross Leadership Academy and earned 2012 and 2014 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll accolades.
The CRCA awards recognize the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains from each of the five regions, organized into first and second-team selections. Nominated student-athletes are evaluated on the strength of their team's regional finish, coaches' recommendations and 2,000-meter erg score. Nominees must be eligible student-athletes who have competed in their teams' varsity boat in 75 percent of races this season. These athletes will be eligible for All-America awards selection following the NCAA Rowing Championship.
