RUMFORD, R.I. – The Holy Cross men's golf team competed against Bryant University on Thursday, April 15 at the Wannamoisett Country Club. Six players competed for each school, with the low four scores counted in the team scoring.
Sophomore
Juan Suau led the Crusaders with a 75. As a team, Holy Cross finished at 311 for the round. Junior
Collin Fitzpatrick (77), senior
Connor Phillips (79), senior
Harrison Thayer (80), freshman
Tommy Beutz (80) and senior
Paul Carey (81) also competed for Holy Cross.
Bryant's Nick Piersall and Dan Kurson each shot even par 69 to lead the Bulldogs to victory with a team score of 289.
"Congratulations to Bryant University, who played extremely well in difficult weather conditions," said Holy Cross head coach
Steve Napoli. "They've enjoyed a tremendous spring season.

Juan Suau finished in a tie for third place, and played steady golf throughout the day. He continues to make good choices with his shot selections throughout tournament rounds."

- Holy Cross will next compete at the Abarta Invitational on April 18 and 19 in Hellertown, Pa.
- "We will be playing our first multiple day tournament this weekend at the Abarta Invitational, and I anticipate our players will find their rhythm in the multi-day event, which will lead to better scoring," Napoli said.
