WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross volleyball freshman right side
Kat Teepe has been named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference office Tuesday following a collection of votes by the leagues head coaches.
Teepe becomes the ninth different Crusader to be named Patriot League Rookie of the Week and the third since the start of the 2025 season.
The lefty appeared in all three matches for the Crusaders this past week at the Central Connecticut State Tournament. Teepe was named to the CCSU Tournament All-Tournament Team after leading the Patriot League in kills (49), while ranking second in kills per set (3.50), third in total points (50.0), and fifth in points per set (3.57) for the week ending August 30. The freshman recorded a .297 hitting percentage off 111 attack attempts (second most on the team).
During her collegiate debut in the five-set match against Central Connecticut State (August 28), Teepe posted 12 kills, two digs, an assist and a block. She followed that up with a match-best 20 kills hitting .417 off 36 attack attempts with a pair of digs and a block in the 3-1 victory over Siena (August 29). Teepe added 17 kills with three digs and a .262 hitting percentage in a five set match against Rhode Island (August 29).
Holy Cross (1-2) looks to get back into the win column on Tuesday, Sept. 1 when they head to New Haven (1-2) for a 6 p.m. first serve.
