Lyons named to Academic All-Patriot League Team

WORCESTER, Mass.- Holy Cross men's track and field senior Liam Lyons was named to the Academic All-Patriot League team, the league announced on Wednesday, May 20.

Lyons, an international studies and philosophy double major, earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.59 concluding the fall of his senior year. Lyons was named first team All-Patriot League after taking home the gold medal in the 1,500m at the 2026 Patriot League Outdoor Track and Field Championships (May 16), finishing with a time of 3:40.76. His winning time broke both the Patriot League Championship meet record and Navy's facility record.

Lyons is tied for 17th in the NCAA East Region in the 1,500m, posting a season-best time of 3:38.38 at the Raleigh Relays (Mar. 27).
